TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: September 15, 2026
Welcome to the Jones Tree Care website. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and, where applicable, services provided by Jones Tree Care in Nashville, Tennessee and surrounding service areas.
By using this website, requesting an estimate, submitting a form, scheduling service, or hiring Jones Tree Care, you agree to these Terms of Service.
1. About Jones Tree Care
Jones Tree Care provides professional tree care and property services, which may include tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, stump grinding and removal, storm damage cleanup, emergency tree service, and related services.
Specific services, pricing, scheduling, and project requirements will be outlined in the estimate, proposal, invoice, work order, or other agreement provided for your project.
2. Estimates and Proposals
Any estimate provided by Jones Tree Care is based on the information and site conditions available at the time the estimate is prepared.
Unless otherwise stated, an estimate is not a guarantee that additional work will not be required.
Pricing may change if:
● The scope of work changes.
● Additional hazards or obstacles are discovered.
● Access to the work area is different from what was originally represented.
● Additional trees, limbs, stumps, debris, or services are requested.
● Underground or concealed conditions affect the project.
● Specialized equipment or additional labor becomes necessary.
Any significant changes to the scope of work may require customer approval before additional work is performed.
3. Scheduling
Scheduled service dates and arrival times are estimates and may be affected by weather, emergencies, equipment issues, jobsite conditions, staffing, or delays on previously scheduled projects.
Tree care work is highly dependent on weather and safe working conditions. Jones Tree Care reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or stop work when conditions are considered unsafe.
Emergency and storm-related service requests may receive scheduling priority.
4. Customer Property Access
The customer is responsible for providing Jones Tree Care with reasonable access to the property and work area.
Before work begins, customers should remove vehicles, outdoor furniture, decorations, toys, portable equipment, pets, and other items from the work area whenever reasonably possible.
The customer is responsible for notifying Jones Tree Care of gates, fences, irrigation systems, septic systems, underground utilities, invisible fences, landscape lighting, drainage systems, or other property features that may affect the work.
5. Underground Utilities and Private Lines
Customers are responsible for identifying private underground systems that may not be marked through public utility-location services.
These may include:
● Irrigation lines
● Landscape lighting
● Private electrical lines
● Septic systems
● Drainage systems
● Invisible pet fences
● Private water lines
● Other privately installed underground equipment
Jones Tree Care is not responsible for damage to unidentified or incorrectly marked underground systems to the extent permitted by law.
6. Tree Removal and Property Conditions
Tree removal and tree trimming involve heavy equipment, falling limbs, logs, wood chips, sawdust, and other materials.
Jones Tree Care will take reasonable precautions to protect the property. However, normal effects associated with tree work may occur, including temporary lawn impressions, tire marks, sawdust, wood chips, disturbed soil, or minor landscape disturbance.
The customer should notify Jones Tree Care before work begins if there are particularly sensitive landscaping areas or property features that require special attention.
7. Stump Grinding
Unless specifically included in the estimate or agreement, tree removal does not automatically include stump grinding.
Stump grinding typically removes the visible stump to an agreed depth but does not necessarily remove the entire underground root system.
Grinding may produce a mixture of wood chips and soil. Removal, hauling, spreading, or replacement of this material is only included when specifically stated in the project agreement.
Jones Tree Care is not responsible for underground utilities, pipes, wires, irrigation components, or other systems located near the stump when their location has not been disclosed or properly marked.
8. Debris and Cleanup
Jones Tree Care will perform cleanup according to the scope of work described in the customer's estimate or agreement.
Unless specifically included, services may not include removal of:
● Existing debris that was present before work began.
● Materials unrelated to the contracted tree service.
● Excess soil.
● Stump grindings.
● Firewood.
● Logs requested to remain on the property.
Customers should review their estimate to determine exactly what debris removal and cleanup services are included.
9. Tree Health and Outcomes
Trees are living organisms, and their future condition cannot always be predicted.
Jones Tree Care does not guarantee that pruning, trimming, cabling, treatment, or other tree-care work will prevent future limb failure, storm damage, disease, insect activity, decline, or death.
Recommendations are based on the visible condition of the tree and information reasonably available at the time of inspection.
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, Jones Tree Care does not provide engineering, structural, environmental, or legal opinions regarding trees or property conditions.
10. Storm and Emergency Tree Service
Emergency tree work can involve dangerous and unpredictable conditions.
Pricing for emergency or storm-related services may differ from standard scheduled service due to hazards, after-hours work, specialized equipment, labor requirements, accessibility, or demand.
Jones Tree Care may determine the safest method and sequence for performing emergency work.
11. Permits, HOA Requirements, and Property Restrictions
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the property owner is responsible for determining whether permits, homeowners association approval, historic district approval, property restrictions, or other authorization is required before tree work is performed.
Customers are also responsible for confirming property boundaries when work involves trees located near neighboring property.
Jones Tree Care may decline to perform work when ownership, authorization, or property boundaries are disputed.
12. Payment
Payment terms will be stated on the customer's estimate, proposal, contract, or invoice.
Payment may be required upon completion unless different terms have been agreed to in writing.
Deposits may be required for certain projects.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all pricing and payment terms before approving work.
Additional services requested outside the original scope of work may result in additional charges.
13. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Customers should notify Jones Tree Care as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Jones Tree Care reserves the right to establish cancellation, deposit, equipment mobilization, or restocking charges for certain projects when those terms have been disclosed to the customer.
14. Customer Authorization
By approving an estimate or scheduling service, the customer represents that they are the property owner or have authority from the property owner to authorize the requested work.
The customer agrees to obtain any necessary approval from landlords, neighbors, homeowners associations, property managers, or other parties before work begins.
